More Christmas

So we know we posted the link to ALL the Christmas photos yesterday, also check out Kerrington's blog HERE. But here are a few of our favorites... plus all about our trip to visit Santa.

So we got there and we had to wait about 40 minutes to meet the big guy.. but we were so well behaved and didn't fuss much. As you could tell by the photos... Alex was overcome with emotion when he finally got to meet the big guy, but all in all we had a lot of fun and can't wait to see him next year.

Us in line to see Santa
Santa's little village at The Mall in Columbia
It started to snow INSIDE
AND ON US!!!!

When we got back from visiting Santa, Dada was home very early from work so we could head to Nana and Grandad's house to celebrate Christmas. We helped him fill up the car with washer fluid.

On the way to Nana and Grandad's Alex took a very cute nap!

Us opening our gifts with Mommy and Daddy

On Christmas eve we went to brunch at Aunt Courtney's and Alex climbed up on this stool all by himself.... so proud!

On the way to Grandma and Grandpap's Alex fell asleep with the blanket over his head.

At Grandma's we got to take a bath.... yes the water is GREEN!... Santa brought us some stuff to make the water change color!!!!

The Twad Squad at Grandma and Gradpap's!

When we got home we noticed our Elf with no name moved... can you spot him?

Finally Home!

After spending 5 days on the road we are finally home sweet home. We started out on the 23rd by going to Nana and Grandad's, then on the 24th went to Aunt Coco and Uncle Todd's for a Christmas brunch. Then we went home for about 2 hours to do our Christmas with Mommy and Daddy, then got back in the car and drove to Grandma and Grandpap's house. We were there till Sunday, then we drove to Great Aunt Helen and Great Uncle Bill's house for lunch and then finally we came home last night. PHEW!!!! So needless to say we have tons of photos to share, we got TONS of gifts, and we had tons of fun.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!!!! Can you believe it's almost 2010???

The Big Melt of '09

Well the snow is melting, you can see streets and driveways and sidewalks again. There is still snow everywhere and schools have been closed all week, so that means we didn't have PT yesterday or today. However a strange package came from the North Pole, it had stamps all over it from weird places we have never heard of like Canada, Australia and Greece. So we opened it and inside was a cute little elf and a story all about him.

We must have blinked because before we knew it.... he was sitting up in our window.

So here is his deal. He apparently shows up around Christmas time every year (Mommy said there was a big snow storm in the North Pole this year as well so he was a little late getting to us, next year he is probably going to visit us after Thanksgiving) and he sits and watches us all day long and finds out if we are good or bad and every night while we are asleep he zooms back to the North Pole to tell Santa what we did that day and if we were naught or nice. Every morning when we wake up he will be sitting in a new spot and we have to find him. But of course there are rules. We can talk to him and tell him what we want for Christmas, but we can't touch him or he will lose his magic. We also have to name him... so anyone know any good elf names? Mommy likes Noah or Noelle... feel free to leave a comment with your suggestions. hopefully we can name him before Christmas Eve when he goes back home till next year.

So back to the big snow... here was daddy yesterday cleaning off the Nissan.

And here is what our neighborhood looked like in the afternoon when Mommy went to get the mail.

Oh and big shout out to Uncle Todd..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're Home!

So we spent the afternoon Napping at Nana and Grandad's while Uncle Steve and Grandad finished up cleaning up their long driveway and Daddy took a nap and Nana and Mommy wrapped Christmas presents.

Here is Alex pre-nap.
Nate pondering if he will smile for the camera

OF COURSE HE WILL!
While Daddy and us were napping and Grandad and Uncle Steve was outside 2 deer came to visit Mommy and Nana in the basement. They were very close to the windows and didn't run away.... but really how could they run when the snow was up to their bellies?

Crap I've been spotted!

Could you throw me a shovel?

Are you still watching me?

The other one... he/she really just ignored us and ate

So we got home... with minimal complications... our van almost didn't make it out of Nana and Grandad's unplowed neighborhood.... it LOOKED plowed from the house... oh well. It took us a little longer to get home, the beltway had a couple of fender benders which slowed us down. But our biggest surprise was that our fabulous next door neighbors (Jacob and Sofie's Mommy and Daddy) shoveled our driveway while we were gone. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! But our stairs and the little convertible were still covered in snow.. so here is what Maryland snow looks like.
The Nissan as seen from the garage

The other side of the Nissan....look you can see a read view mirror and a little bit of the tire!

The Stairs! ... who has a sled?

When we got inside we got an early Christmas present from Grandma and Grandpap that arrived while we were hanging in Virginia. A table and chair set for our play kitchen!! We LOVE IT!

So that's it. We are tired. Oh and not only was this our first big snow storm... it was also Kerri's first big snow... to see what she was up to and what their snow looked like, visit her blog at http://kerringtonsadventures.blogspot.com/

Here comes the sun....

The sun came out today and the snow has stopped. We were hitting about 24 inches before we went to bed. Well they say a picture is worth a million words... so here are 10 million words.

Before the sun went down
On the table sticking up is a yard stick, Mommy went out and checked how much snow was falling.

Oh the weather outside is.....

STILL SNOWING!!!! We are still at Nana and Grandad's and the snow is up to 20 inches!!!!! More pictures will be added shortly. Just thought you would like the update!

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

So yesterday we went to Nana and Grandad's and spent the night, Mommy and Daddy joined us after we already fell asleep for the night. When we woke up, it was a winter wonderland. Aunt Katie and Uncle Ben came to play with us for a little bit.. Nate didn't mind the snow but after Alex's mitten fell off he wasn't having it. Here are pictures (and we will add more as this storm progresses) from this morning and afternoon.
