Weekend Update

We had such a busy weekend. First off Mommy came back from her week training for her new job in New Jersey, so Saturday morning we got to give her lots of hugs, however she had a hair appointment so after breakfast she went to get her hair cut, while she was gone Daddy attempted to cut our hair. Alex gave in and let Daddy have a go at it (it wasn't terrible), Nate however didn't want to have anything to do with Daddy and the razor. So Mommy got home and she packed us in her car and off we went to Nana's house, we got to hang out there while Mommy went to Aunt Coco's house for her birthday party, they did a scavenger hunt (check out Kerri's blog so she can fill you in on that). Then Sunday morning Mommy, who's birthday it happened to be... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!!, took us, and Nana, and Grandad and Aunt Coco and Kerri to this huge park to celebrate her birthday, and we had so much fun, here are a few pictures Mommy took, again check out Kerri's blog for more -

We want a pony!

So yesterday we drove down to Nana and Grandad's house and met up with them really fast before we headed to the Reston Zoo where we met up with Aunt Coco, Uncle Todd and Kerri! We saw monkeys, goats, ostriches, antelopes, birds, tortoises, sheep, a llama, a pony (which we got to ride!!!!) an alligator, and so many cool things. Then we went back to Nana and Grandad's house, ate lunch and passed out (as did Nana and Grandad!), then we woke up, had a snack and then we left for home and guess who was home when we got there.. DADDY!!!! We showed Daddy our pictures and videos then went outside to play! What a fun day!! Enjoy the pictures and videos!!

Watch out American Idol!

Well First off.. Daddy has been in Florida since Sunday, so if you are reading this "Hi Daddy we miss you!!" And while Daddy has been in Florida, Mommy has been training for her new job at Tiffany & Co. in Towson. Yesterday however we... well Alex... decided to throw her a curve ball and wake up in the middle of the night sick. So they didn't get any sleep, but Nate was passed out and didn't even stir. So at 6am Mommy called Nana and Grandad and asked for help since she knew Alex couldn't go to day care all day, however they were just supposed to be backup in case the day care called.... except he decided to throw up, so at 7:30 Mommy called Nana and Grandad and said "HELP PLEASE!". So Grandad said he would come and take care of him. However Mommy had to leave the house and Grandad and Nana live an hour away, and he still had to get dressed and eat breakfast... PLUS it was raining, so it was more like 2 hours. So Alex went to school and told one of the teachers in his class room he wasn't feeling well but help was on the way!! Mommy went off to work and Grandad saved the day. Alex started complaining about his ear hurting, which he has never done before, so Grandad called Mommy to set up a doctor's appointment. It's a pretty bad ear infection, he even has to have drops put into his ear. Grandad got his medicine and apple juice and spent the afternoon watching Yo Gabba Gabba with Alex till Mommy got home with Nate.

Needless to say we slept very well last night and when Alex woke up he said "Grandad make me feel better", so Grandad gets a BIG THANK YOU!!!!! Nate got to go to school but Alex has to stay home today, which is fine cause today and tomorrow Mommy is training from home. Alex decided to add a little ambiance to Mommy's work and sang for about 10 straight minutes. Mommy got the last 6 on video. Watch out American Idol, hold on to your hats America's Got Talent, Alexander is in the house! Here is his own rendition of the wheels on the bus, which now involve items found in baby jail, like boxes, microwaves, chairs.. etc... Enjoy!!!!

farm video

Silly Mommy forgot to add the video of us with the goats at the farm!

Farm and Zoo

Last weekend was such a busy weekend. First on Friday we didn't go to school cause our friends Ms. Becca and Mr. Chris came up to play with us and take us out to lunch. We walked to Subway and ate yummy sandwiches, and of course we spent time in babyjail. Nate's favorite part was climbing all over Mr. Chris, he is so tall and is great at rough housing with us. He also has awesome shoes!!

Nate wearing Mr. Chris's shoes and going shopping!

Nate checking out Mr. Chris's tattoos - he thought they were pretty cool, he will have to wait till he is 18 though!

Nate with Mr. Chris and Ms. Becca - Alex was a little camera shy that day but gave everyone great hugs!

Saturday Mommy and Daddy took us to the Farm and we picked blueberries, raspberries and tomato we also bought cantaloupe, peppers, corn and zucchini. We saw goats and llamas and had way too much fun!

Needless to say we had great big naps on Saturday!! Sunday morning Mommy took us to the petting zoo. Alex did awesome and wasn't afraid of anything, and Nate was... well Nate and ran after EVERYTHING. We saw chickens, goats, sheep, a horse, an Emu named Mu, a pig, ducks, bunnies and a turkey. We had a blast!!

Nice patting Alex!

Alex driving an even bigger boat.... in the words of Grandad "ARRRRRRR"

So that was just the weekend. On Wednesday Miss Jeanette came to visit us, we went swimming, Alex was doing awesome in the pool, floating on his own (with the arm floats) and kind of swimming,  and Miss Jeanette helped us eat lunch and get ready for naps before going out to lunch with Mommy. Busy week!!

Big news is Alex is finally moving to the 3 year old room at the end of the month and gets to be with Alex. He also will be starting an IEP program, special education, at the local elementary school in the next month so he gets more physical, occupational and speech therapy. So he will get to go to the elementary school a few times each week and spend his mornings there and then head off to daycare to play with Nate and our friends.

Phew.. that is one long update!! Enjoy!
