Sad News

So we finally found out what has been going on with all the phone calls to Grandma and Great Aunt Helen, and Mommy doing lots of packing, cleaning and ironing. We have the saddest of new yet. Our Great Aunt Donna, Grandma's brother's wife, died suddenly last weekend while on vacation with Great Uncle Andy in Mexico. We are so sad cause we never got the chance to meet her and we heard how fun and full of life she was.

Daddy is taking us up to Pittsburgh today so we can give everyone big hugs and Mommy will be joining us tomorrow after her baking class tonight.

Fun Day!

Yesterday was such a fun day, first we went to Target, but Mommy didn't buy anything and then we went to Toys r Us and Mommy picked out a cool new cash register toy. She said something about it being "old school" and she used to have one just like it. She picked up a couple other things that we didn't get good looks at, something about keeping us occupied later this week. We hung out inside after that most of the day, then Mommy filled up our water table and we were hanging out on the deck when we saw Sofie and Jacob playing outside, so we went downstairs and played with them, their water/sand tables, slide and ran around in circles after each other. Oh and Mommy and their nanny thought we were all adorable cause we were all just wearing our diapers. Needless to say we slept well last night.

So we didn't actually get to eat these due to our egg allergy but Mommy posted pictures and recipe of her Pate a Choux she made for Nana, Grandad, Uncle Steve, Aunt Courtney and Uncle Todd last night when we all hung out at Nana and Grandad's house. - http://bakingwithcaitlin.blogspot.com/, we had tons of fun over there... we didn't nap, but enjoyed the new books Nana bought us, including I Spy and some number and color books and a book all about cars. We got to visit with our cousin Kerrington and we both gave her kisses and patted her on her head... gently of course.

We just had PT, our new therapists Laura and Kathy, they are so impressed at how we are doing. Especially with our attention span and how well we point to things in books.

Not much going on here. Grandma came to play yesterday while Mommy had her first baking class (don't forget to check out her blog - http://bakingwithcaitlin.blogspot.com/) and while what she made looks delicious, our stupid egg allergy is going to keep us from sampling her concoctions. Today Mommy's friend Samantha is coming over to play and have dinner with us and if the weather holds out this weekend we are sure a trip to the park will be scheduled. Happy Thursday!

We went to Grandad and Nana's yesterday, we had lots of fun playing with them and running around. We are still coughing a bit, and our cousin Kerrington didn't let her mommy (Aunt Courtney) sleep the night before (THAT'S OUR GIRL!) So Mama went over to visit with them with out us, since Aunt Courtney didn't feel up to driving to Nana's. Oh well, we will see you cousin later then.. .and give her more tips on how to be a baby. We heard that yesterday she did the peeing without a diaper trick when our Mommy was changing her diaper, so she gave her a bath while Aunt Courtney got some stuff done. She learns from the best! (us!)

Today Grandma is coming in to town because Mommy is starting a 20 week pastry arts class at L'Academie de Cuisine. She has started her own blog and will update with pictures and what she is learning to make as often as she can. Her classes are Thursday nights... so it depends on how busy we keep her on Fridays! Not So Bad

Well the good news is we aren't really that sick. Alex has a bit of fluid in his left ear so he is on some medicine to help that out. We both are getting nebulizer treatments before bed to help us breath a little better, we aren't congested, but it will help us sleep better (hopefully) as well.

Before dinner we were out playing in the back yard and we saw Jacob and Sofie in their basement (our best friends and next door neighbor twins who are about 8 months younger than us). So their mommy Miss Erika opened the window and we chatted through the screen. When it was time to go in for dinner Sofie gave us both kisses through the screen. Nate got multiple kisses from Sofie... and even a few from Jacob, Alex just got one kiss from each. It was too cute. Unfortunately Mama and Miss Erika didn't have cameras available to capture our first kisses with someone about our age, but next time!

That's about all for now. We need to get back up to speed with this blog, our cousin Kerri is putting us to shame!

How can you get a cold when its 80 degrees outside?

So here we are coughing and runny nosed in the middle of July.... what's up with that? We have an appointment at 1pm to see our favorite Dr. who we haven't seen since our 2 year check-up. So we will probably get weighed today and will have some stats for you when we get back. Hopefully it's nothing terrible like an ear infection. We haven't slept well the last 2 nights.... which in turn means Mama and Dada haven't slept well the last 2 nights. So Mama wants to make sure we are ok and made an appointment this afternoon to check us out.

So if you haven't seen what happens when Alex gets excited you are in for a treat..... the more excited he gets the more he waves his arms and the bigger his mouth gets. This was taken the 4th of July at Nana and Grandad's beach house. Nothing new going on right now. Grandma and Grandpap came down for the weekend and we went to church this morning and were fairly well behaved.

Wow Mommy and Daddy have been married for 4 years! That's twice our age.

So we have been back from the beach for a week... yeah we know... we have just been having too much fun and trying to get back onto a normal schedule. Thursday Miss Cheryl came by and evaluated Alex's walking abilities. She is so proud of him, he is walking for longer periods of time and is really getting his balance together. GO ALEX! Then this weekend there was drama was Ty... our more unsociable cat.... apparently he ate one too many hair elastics and got a massive tummy ache and had to have surgery... he is home now and doing much better... hopefully he learned his lesson. Yesterday Grandma and Great-Aunt Helen came for a visit. That was fun too! And tomorrow we are off to Nana and Grandad's. Here are more pictures from the beach.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes we are still around... getting into trouble as usual. We have just been so busy on vacation at the beach. Our typical day consists of waking up at about 7, playing in a mini version of baby jail, breakfast, baby jailing it while Mama and Dada get their breakfast, hit the beach for about an hour, lunch, big nap, beach/pool plus baby jail and at least one episode of Elmo's world, and bed.
We got in last Thursday after spending the night at Aunt Katie and Uncle Ben's place... we LOVE their puppy Sasha... she gave us tons of kisses. Our car trip down was fun. We slept the first half and then stopped in Williamsburg and ran around for about an hour and then we hopped back in our car and drove all the way down to OBX... we did really well! When we got there we saw Nana and Grandad and on Sunday Dada, Uncle Stephen, Miss Becca and Mr Chris and Mr Will all came down to play with us! We have had soooo much fun.
