So I am 11 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and I had a doctors appointment on Tuesday. We heard the baby's heart beat!!!! It was so cool. It was really fast too, about 180 bpm, which as our doctor pointed out the old wives tale says a fast heart beat is a girl, and a slower one is a boy... so if 120 is the norm and our little one is 180, it could very well be a girl. But we aren't getting our hopes up. The heart beat was also very strong, the Dr was very happy. I got back in 4 weeks to do test for Down Syndrome and Spina Bifida, and I think a couple other things. Then 4 weeks after that is an ultrasound and we hopefully will find out the sex of our little one... so YAY only 8 more weeks of gender neutral adjetives... hopefully!

On sunday I will be 11 weeks along, Still having fun with morning sickness on random days... like today, today was a morning sickness day. Its not that bad, I throw up once and I am all done. Sometimes its before I eat (which is nasty) and sometimes its right after breakfast, which I prefer. I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday, hopefully will hear the heart beat. Sleeping is always fun. I get up at least once, ususally twice to pee. This week I started sleeping with a cylinder pillow between my legs because when I would get up to pee and climb back into bed my back would be so uncomfertable, but the pillow between my legs helps so much. I am still completely exhusted, working a ton of hours doesn't help. One more week and our holiday season will be over and I get 3 days off in a row to go to West Virginia and see the in-laws. Then I go back to work and the store will be quieter for a little while at least..

Well I am 9 weeks today. I have been sick all week too, not terrible... but not the best. Morning sickness hasn't been around at all, which has been nice. However I threw up in the middle of the night this week, dont know if that was from sickness or baby. This morning I woke up and going through the motions of throwing up but nothing came up, again dont know if it is baby related or from being sick. 2 more weeks till my next doctors appointment. Seeing a new doctor. I have been seeing Dr. B the last few tims but since there are like 7 women doctor in the practice and you never know who will be on call when you go into labor you see everyone so you get to know everyone... which is nice... like me new shirt?

My head is on the right. The black area on my cheast is my heart. right below it is a white squiggle which is my embilical cord and I appear to be raising an arm bud to say "hello". Doc appointment went well today, everything looks really good. The Doc saw the heart beating which is a great sign. My offical due date is July 8, 2007 (Which I had said before). So excited!

more morning sickness

i finally got morning sickness to the point of throwing up on thursday... unfortunatly i was on my way into work and had to make an emergancy stop at a chik-fil-a... but i felt awesome afterwards. this morning wasnt bad but i didnt eat anything till all the naseau passes.. yesterday all that came up was the gingerale and saltines i ate trying to settle my stomac. tomorrow we drive up in the morning to NJ for my uncles' adoption party for megan. packing extra plastic bags.. just in case. its only 3.5 hours to where they live from here... so not bad. well i gotta go pack and sleep. doctors appointment is on Tuesday.. probably wont have anything to post till then. have a great weekend!

morning sickness

Morning sickness is kicking in. I am roughly at 6 weeks along. I get to go in in a nother week and get a nother sonogram and get an offical due date. So i havent actually thrown up.. however i wake up and i feel like i could at any second, yesterday was the worst. we flew back from toronto and our flight was delayed so we didn't take off from chicago till 11:40 and we didnt land in baltimore till 2:15, not getting home till 3:30. So i got 5 hours of sleep before i had to get up for work and i was so dehydrated from flying. it was awful. But i made it without spewing and i went from completely naseuous to seriously starving, so i had a quarter pounder and a milkshake and felt much better. woke up not so good again this morning but i had chris bring me my saltines and gingerale which i snacked on in bed till i felt better. but morning sickness/nausea is a good sign, so i dont mind.. it means things are looking good. my breast are getting sore, and i think they got a little bit bigger. thats it for now. i am getting hungry and need to eat breakfast.

I saw it!

Had my doc appointment. everything looks good. Actually got to see the baby... or what will be a baby. all I really saw was a circle with something hanging out in the corner (circle = sac/placenta, thing hanging in corner = baby/fetus). Luckily the baby isn't in my fallopian tubes.. its nicely positioned in my uterus.. so that is good. I am going back in for another sonogram in 2 weeks to get a better estimaed due date, currently the doctor thinks i am between 4 1/2 - 5 weeks along and due end of june beginning of july. She will get a better reading next appointment. gave a lot of blood, but had a different nurse who was cracking jokes with me, so it was faster and less painful.

update

I know, I haven't updated since I announced my pregnancy. Everyone now knows and is so excited. I haven't had morning sickness yet, a few times randomly where I felt a little nausea, but it passed. I have been increadibly exhusted and find that I need a nap a day to make it to the end of the night. Also I have been craving calcium like there is no tomorrow. so tons of string cheese, milk and yogurt for me... but cant complain its healthyMy first Dr. appointment is tomorrow moring at 11. I will try to update tomorrow night or Wed. about what is going on. Chris is coming with me. I am excited. Nothing really esle to report. Oh I bought my first pair of materinity pants. I dont have any nice pants that fit (since i have gain a little bit of weight since last year). And this weekend Chris and I are going to Toronto with his parents and are going to see Pippin and go out to a nice dinner and the following weekend is my uncle's big party for my cousin's adoption, so i bought a pair of pants from Gap Maternity that will last me all throughout my pregnancy and afterwards. Thats it.. we are doing fine so far!

I'M PREGNANT!!!!

I found out on Thursday and I had to make sure some family members knew before I posted it here. I am 4 weeks and 3 days (4w3d). I am currently due July 8, 2007. I have my first doctor's appointment next Tuesday where I will get my offical due date. So july is officially our month, we met, got engaged, got married and will be having a baby in July! :)
